© Till BuddeInternational Futures (IF) builds enduring networks between young leaders from the areas of diplomacy, science, politics and civil society and fosters a global community that works to promote responsible governance and sustainable development.
International Futures is part of the Managing Global Governance (MGG) Academy, a programme for young leaders implemented by the German Institute of Development and Sustainability (IDOS) which shows how different ministries jointly support global dialogue.
In a one-and-a-half-week course, participants from South Africa, Mexico, China, Brazil, India and Indonesia as well as Germany and selected European countries investigate a global issue, focusing on diplomacy, sustainable development and digitisation. Through lectures, discussions and workshops with experts and political decision-makers, participants gain insights into global challenges while developing skills in the areas of negotiation, diplomacy and political analysis. Cultural activities and networking events supplement the programme.
Participants gain a comprehensive understanding of global challenges, make valuable international contacts and strengthen their leadership potential in the fields of diplomacy, science and sustainable development.
