Modern diplomacy thinks globally, acts multilaterally, and aims for worldwide peace and stability.
For over 30 years, the Training for International Diplomats of the Federal Foreign Office has embodied this open-minded, unifying, and peace-promoting element of German foreign policy.
Through the Training for International Diplomats, we pursue the ideal of facilitating exchange and perspective shifts between young international diplomats and other leaders on neutral ground, investing in the development of sustainable relationships and global networks, thereby contributing to building trust, peace, and understanding.
Our programmes are tailored to the composition of countries and the selection of topics in line with global developments. The range covers the fundamentals of diplomacy, key foreign and security policy issues of our time, and modern negotiation techniques. The multi-week courses are available for international diplomats, as well as for diplomats stationed in Berlin on a part-time basis.
