The Executive Seminar for International Diplomats (IDL) is an intensive course in German targeting diplomats with outstanding German-language skills. This programme offers a unique combination of theoretical and practical learning options, which improve participants’ understanding of international diplomacy, security and political issues in a global context.

It includes practical training modules (such as media, negotiation and mediation training), seminars and panel discussions as well as talks with speakers who are experts in their respective fields. Participants enjoy excursions to German cities and to Brussels and thereby glean insights into Germany’s political landscape and international relations. Cultural activities and informal get-togethers encourage networking.
