The Executive Seminar for Syrian Diplomats was designed to support the professional development of Syrian diplomats serving the “New Syria”.

Over a period of three weeks, the programme provided a comprehensive overview of German history, society and its political system, as well as German and European foreign policy and its approach to Syria. It included excursions to Brussels and Frankfurt am Main, offering direct exchanges with high-ranking representatives from government, parliament and civil society.

Through practical training in negotiation, public speaking and mediation, participants had the opportunity to strengthen their diplomatic skills.

Furthermore, the seminar included cultural and social activities that fostered dialogue, encouraged exchange and supported the development of professional networks. Overall, the programme combined practical skill-building with opportunities for mutual learning, diverse perspectives and international networking.
