The Berlin Insights (BER) Programme offers ambassadors who have recently taken up this post representing their country in Berlin the exclusive opportunity to acquire a deeper knowledge of German foreign policy, business and culture. It offers valuable networking opportunities and facilitates direct access to crucial German institutions and decision-makers.

Over the course of around three weeks, various events take place on approximately seven programme days, including lectures, discussions and networking activities, providing valuable insights into Germany’s political, economic and cultural landscape. The programme also includes meetings with representatives from high-level German institutions, such as the Federal Chancellery, the Office of the Federal President, the Federal Intelligence Service and the Federal Foreign Office.

Participants deepen their understanding of the role of Germany in global diplomacy and benefit from a collaborative environment in which they can interact with others and establish a supportive network. The Berlin Insights programme is a unique opportunity for newly accredited ambassadors to form ties, obtain insights and learn about Germany’s political and cultural institutions in a supportive, integrative environment.
