The Executive Seminar for Diplomats from the People’s Republic of China aims to strengthen bilateral relations, deepen mutual understanding and expand the cultural and political perspectives of both countries. 

Over one week, participants complete an intensive programme designed to familiarise them with the way the Federal Foreign Office works, the institutional framework of the Federal Republic, key issues in German foreign and security policy as well as cultural and economic aspects of Germany. 

During the programme, participants meet representatives from business associations and political foundations as well as members of the German-Chinese Parliamentary Friendship Group in the German Bundestag. The visit is supplemented by an excursion, e.g. to Hamburg, including tours of German companies.

Alongside political discussions, the programme also fosters personal interaction and cultural exchange.
