Seminar on Climate, Peace and Security
Executive Seminar on Climate and Security Topics

The Climate, Peace and Security (CS) seminar is a three-week course focusing on climate policy, particularly the issues of climate and security as well as mitigation of and adaptation to the impacts of climate change.
Through a balanced combination of lectures, discussions and interactive formats such as simulated negotiations and role play, participants are able to use their theoretical knowledge in practical situations and apply their skills to realistic scenarios. Visits to the Bundestag, the Federal Chancellery and other relevant institutions allow participants to gain an understanding of Germany’s political structures and history as well as insights into German culture. Another highlight is the trip to Brussels, where participants learn about the work of the EU and NATO in the area of climate, peace and security.
Valuable professional input and the opportunity to gain first-hand impressions of Germany and the European perspective on global issues such as climate and peace, and reflect on them, equip participants to make an active contribution to international dialogue on these important topics after completing the programme.
