The Diplomatenkolleg (DK), held in German, offers diplomats accredited in Germany the opportunity to study political, economic and cultural aspects of Germany in depth over several months. The programme includes programme days in Berlin as well as excursions to various German Länder and European cities, allowing participants insights into Germany’s institutions, economy and global partnerships.

Focal areas include Germany’s role within the EU, global security challenges, transatlantic cooperation and issues such as trade policy, climate and energy innovations, migration policy and digitisation. Participants discuss current global and regional issues and expand their knowledge in a collaborative learning environment.

The Diplomatenkolleg fosters exchange between diplomats from different countries, bolsters professional networks and consolidates diplomatic skills, facilitating better understanding and mastery of complex global challenges.
