The Executive Seminar on Water Diplomacy (WD) is a two-week course focusing on diplomacy in the fields of climate change and water scarcity.

The programme enables participants to develop diplomatic solutions to water-related conflicts and provides valuable insights and recommendations for future international water cooperation projects. It underscores the advantages of cross-border cooperation in water resources management and develops innovative solutions to promote fair water distribution.

The programme components include negotiation training and mediation, which are implemented by means of a fictional water conflict, as well as trips to various German cities. Participants also talk about German initiatives in the fields of water diplomacy and climate change mitigation with members of the German Bundestag.

The programme fosters cross-border cooperation to resolve water problems and makes a crucial contribution to the development of sustainable solutions. At the same time, it strengthens the diplomatic relations between the participating countries and supports global efforts in the area of water management.
